{"id":451,"date":"2013-05-07T20:36:23","date_gmt":"2013-05-07T10:36:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/protectedareas.com.au\/?page_id=451"},"modified":"2025-05-08T14:23:09","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T04:23:09","slug":"our-team-in-action","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/protectedareas.com.au\/?page_id=451","title":{"rendered":"Our team in action"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Current and recently completed projects include:<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, Fiona and Ann worked with Veronika Gurai and Evengelyne Kove from PNG on a project for UNDP and CEPA, to assist the government to revise <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1iVKzBi_F6EYnL6-BTg4tKcTwaExaYghQ\/view?usp=sharing\">Papua New Guinea&#8217;s Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan<\/a><\/strong> (NBSAP).  This update was needed to bring it up to date and into line with the ambitious goals and targets of the CBD&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbd.int\/gbf\">Global Biodiversity Framework<\/a>. A meeting of stakeholders in August was critical in helping us to understand the diverse issues facing the country&#8217;s path to a sustainable future. The work will soon be used as the basis for national consultation for a plan to carry PNG forward to 2030.
